This camp is a week-long educational opportunity for Maryland high-school aged students to learn what it is like to work in the field of natural resource management. The camp is located in the mountains of Western Maryland and is normally scheduled during the last week of July. Students learn from natural resource professionals and get hands-on experience conducting natural resource management.
College professors from the University of Maryland, Penn State, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Allegany College and Garrett College present the opportunities available at their colleges for degrees in the natural resource field. Students can choose to sit for an exam at the end of the week to earn 2 college credits.
