Arbor Day Poster Contest
2016-17 Results
In cooperation with CHESPAX (Calvert County Outdoor Education), the Board sponsors an Arbor Day Poster Contest for all third grade students in Calvert County. CHESPAX helps distribute all the material and the Board judges the posters and awards the prizes. Posters are judged for the forestry message they present as well as the artwork. The Board produced an Arbor Day educational video which teachers use to help convey the message of Arbor Day.
AWARDS:
Best Class in County: $100.00 check for the teacher for educational supplies.
Best in County: $50.00 Amazon.com gift card, Smokey Bear cap.
Best in School: $25.00 Amazon.com gift card, Smokey Bear water bottle.
First and Second in Class: Saturn flying ring & glow bracelet (respectively).
